The Long Version
John Lemmon helps golfers unlock their greatness by mastering mindset, building identity, and becoming who they were always meant to be.
With over 30 years of experience as a player, competitor, and coach, John has seen firsthand that the biggest breakthroughs in golf don’t come from swing tips alone — they come from within. His specialty is mental performance coaching for golfers who are ready to rise. He works with high school and college athletes, weekend warriors, and serious amateurs who are tired of chasing mechanics and ready to step into their true potential.
John’s approach is calm, steady, and science-backed, built on the belief that results come when mindset and identity align. He guides golfers to create a future version of themselves — one that already plays with confidence, clarity, and consistency. That identity becomes their anchor under pressure. Their alter ego in clutch moments. The version of themselves that wins.
If a golfer feels stuck in the hustle, is losing trust in their swing, or knows their results don’t match their effort — it’s time for a shift. John's coaching blends proven mental strategies with mind-body connection, helping players quiet the noise, find their flow, and perform their best when it matters most.
In addition to his coaching, John is a lifelong competitor. He has played in dozens of city and club tournaments, including winning the Dayton City Amateur First Flight in 2017. He has scored two holes-in-one, and once shot 30 in a 9-hole league. John has successfully coached a Division 1 high school golf team and brings a rich legacy to his teaching — his father played golf for over 50 years, and his grandfather was captain of his high school team.
Whether in person or virtually, John helps golfers reconnect with their love for the game, build mental strength, and step fully into the version of themselves they were always meant to be.

“My second year having John Lemmon as my coach was great. I really learned a lot from him. Not just technical swing skills but how to navigate the golf course and play in serious division one competition. I was able to shoot my lowest scores ever this year and even finished top 4 at Sectionals to make it to Districts for the first time. I appreciate John’s positive and fun loving coaching style. Thanks, Coach Lemmon, I couldn’t have done it without you! “

“I worked with Coach Lemmon this past year and had a great experience. With his help I was able to improve my swing, work on my mental game and lower my scores. I made the high school varsity golf team and was shooting my lowest scores by the end of the season. Lessons with Coach Lemmon were fun and I learned a ton during each one.”

“I started playing golf my junior year of high school. With Coach Lemmon’s help I was able to make varsity my first year and improve to the number 3 player my senior year. He helped me shoot my lowest scores on 9 hole matches and even break 100 in our Division 1 Sectionals Tournament!
I really enjoyed working with Coach Lemmon and would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their golf game.”
